Offering an exclusive, individual lifestyle, Crest Lodge Care Home is a beautiful Yorkstone mansion, set in five acres of woodland, overlooking the National Trust Golden Valley Estate. Conveniently located one mile from the A3 Hindhead cross-roads and within walking distance of Beacon Hill shopping centre, Crest Lodge provides luxurious, comfortable living. Here, it is our aim to transform people’s lives through the delivery of high quality services in a friendly, home-like environment.
Crest Lodge offers continuing treatment and person centred, residential nursing care for up to 52 men and women with mental health problems. We specialise in the treatment and care of people with diverse mental health diagnosis including support and nursing care for people who have long-standing mental health problems where physical ill-health or frailty has impacted on their independence and more support is needed to ensure a good quality of life.
Crest Lodge bungalow is self-contained and located within the grounds of Crest Lodge and contains two bedrooms for people who wish, and are able with support, to live more independently, but can still access the main house for meals or support as required and agreed as part of the persons care plan.
Crest Cottage is a small unit that uses a recovery-orientated approach which provides the opportunity for the restoration of a more meaningful life to those who have impaired life-skills and wish to develop their independent living skills. This is undertaken through a personally tailored programme that includes practical and emotional help and support in an atmosphere of hope and optimism. There is a member of staff onsite 24 hours each day to offer support and assistance as required and agreed as part of the persons care plan
Our team, consisting of the Home Manager, Clinical Specialist Nurse and carefully selected registered and auxiliary nurses who are appropriately qualified, work alongside our primary care and secondary specialist teams including doctors and consultants to ensure the best quality of life for our residents. Excellence in the provision of care and services is achieved through continuous training from external experts and quality improvement. Our registered manager and dedicated team of nurses and health care staff ensure that all residents receive 24-hour care and support whilst maintaining privacy, choice, dignity and independence. We work closely with families and friends offering support, information and advice. At Crest Lodge we ensure that help and companionship is always at hand supporting you To Live Your Life Your Way!
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide specialist nursing care for young adults with long standing mental health problems. Crest Lodge accepts people with a range of primary mental health difficulties inclusive of secondary physical disabilities and health issues and historical non-current alcohol and or substance misuse. RMN and RGN support is provided.
Set in a quiet location, in its own beautifully landscaped gardens, Crest Lodge Care Home for Mental Health has a combination of luxurious, single en-suite rooms, and larger, companion rooms for those wishing for company. Many of our well-appointed bedrooms enjoy glorious views of the gardens below and surrounding Surrey countryside. Our residents can choose to have personal, flat-screen TVs with Freeview and direct dial telephones in the comfort of their bedroom.
At Crest Lodge, we have a selection of well-appointed relaxation areas for our residents to use. These include a choice of sitting rooms, dining areas and a large, dedicated activity and therapy room. In these areas our residents can part-take in activities, watch television and entertain guests. Our beautiful, well maintained landscaped garden provides the perfect retreat during the summer months, allowing our residents to pursue gardening and outdoor activities to fulfill a socially active, independent lifestyle.
In addition to each Resident having a Named Nurse, where individual care plans based on individual’s needs are discussed and addressed, Crest Lodge has an in-house Clinical Specialist Nurse who provides tailored one to one and group interventions.

At Crest Lodge Care Home for Mental Health we are committed to meeting your personal preferences, choices and needs in the comfort of a fully furnished, private room with en-suite facilities. We offer large single bedrooms comfortably furnished some complete with en-suite shower and toilet. All rooms have been elegantly decorated with co-ordinating soft furnishings and our residents have the option of flat screen televisions with Freeview and direct dial telephones in the comfort of their room. Each room comes with a multi-position, electric profiling bed to aid mobility and enable residents to sit up independently. To make rooms feel as homely as possible, we encourage residents to personalise their rooms with ornaments and pictures. Our residents are also welcome to bring loving pets to stay, by prior arrangement.
Meals are an important part of our day and dining is designed to be a gastronomic and a social occasion to be shared with friends and family alike. Our chef, who will visit each resident to discuss individual choice and special diets, produces a wide range of delicious meals that are nutritionally balanced and prepared using fresh, seasonal produce. We encourage visitors to stay for meals or enjoy a drink with their loved ones. Meals are served three times a day, either in the dining room or in the comfort of your bedroom. Private dining facilities are also available for families and friends to share meals with their loved ones.
Activities - 7 days a week
Crest Lodge care home has a dedicated activity and therapy room where residents can continue with existing interests and hobbies as well as discover new ones. Our full-time activity co-ordinator schedules a 7-day weekly calendar to include individual preferences as well as a variety of outings, and entertainment to suit all interests, helping to provide structure to our residents’ day as well as offering mental and physical stimulation. We also provide and have access to medical, dental, optical, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services which are arranged by referral and appointment through our access to Primary and Secondary services.
At Crest Lodge you don’t have to worry if you’re missing your loved ones, just pop into the Internet Corner and have a chat over the webcam. If you’re searching for friends, why not surf the world-wide-web, or, relax with a book from our library. You can also choose to indulge in our lively and sociable events; wine and cheese evenings or cookery classes are always a popular choice for our residents, friends and families! We also make the most of our local amenities by arranging regular outings to Guildford town centre and other local attractions.
Crest Lodge Care Home is conveniently located off the A3, a short distance from Beacon HIll. Haslemere train station is ten minutes away and our local hospitals are Farnham Road and The Royal Surrey. Local attractions include Grayshott Pottery, Haslemere Museum and The Devil’s Punch Bowl.
