We specialise in the treatment and care of people with diverse mental health diagnosis including support and nursing care for people who have long-standing mental health problems where physical ill-health or frailty has impacted on their independence and more support is needed to ensure a good quality of life.

In addition to each Resident having a Named Nurse, where individual care plans based on individual’s needs are discussed and addressed, Crest Lodge has an in-house Clinical Specialist Nurse who provides tailored one to one and group interventions.

Mealtimes

Meals are an important part of our day and dining is designed to be a gastronomic and a social occasion to be shared with friends and family alike. Our chef, who will visit each resident to discuss individual choice and special diets, produces a wide range of delicious meals that are nutritionally balanced and prepared using fresh, seasonal produce. We encourage visitors to stay for meals or enjoy a drink with their loved ones. Meals are served three times a day, either in the dining room or in the comfort of your bedroom. Private dining facilities are also available for families and friends to share meals with their loved ones.

Activities

At Crest Lodge, we have a selection of well-appointed relaxation areas for our residents to use. These include a choice of sitting rooms, dining areas and a large, dedicated activity and therapy room including exercise suite.

Our full-time activity co-ordinator schedules a 7-day weekly calendar to include individual preferences as well as a variety of outings, and entertainment to suit all interests, helping to provide structure to our residents’ day as well as offering mental and physical stimulation.

Residents can part-take in activities, watch television and entertain guests. Our beautiful, well maintained landscaped garden provides the perfect retreat during the summer months, allowing our residents to pursue gardening and outdoor activities to fulfill a socially active, independent lifestyle.

We also provide and have access to medical, dental, optical, physiotherapy and occupational therapy services which are arranged by referral and appointment through our access to Primary and Secondary services.

The people are nice.

I like Crest Lodge a lot. The people are nice and I like going to the charity shop in the village. I also like going on the trips, especially the garden centres and going for coffee.

I love doing activities!

I love doing activities in the garden and socialising with the other residents. Donna brings in clothes to sell at bargain prices!

I enjoy looking after the chickens.

I have lived here for three years and have enjoyed looking after the chickens and helping in the garden. I have recently moved to the Cottage and really like it.
